Scope of Role:
You will be working as part of a team the develops\supports and improves existing and new products.
You will come up to speed with product knowledge and have a good overall understanding of the products, how they are used by customers and understand the industries in which they are deployed.
As a software engineer you are involved at every stage of development from requirements gathering to final validation and approval of features.
You will become a developer that can be relied on as a technical and product knowledge consultant by both the software team itself and other parts of the business such as product managers and sales staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will assist or drive the gathering of requirements, scoping software tasks, and be interactive at the levels of idea conception, architecture, and implementation.
  • You will be working with other related engineering disciplines (both software and hardware).
  • You will take ownership of validating any software you develop, in conjunction with test engineers and ultimate stakeholders.
  • You will be assisting with the identification of issues in existing software and implementing the solution.
  • You will be responsible for your own personal development in the ever-evolving software engineering discipline.
  • You will be responsible for identifying any internal tooling required and implementing tooling if required.
  • You will be involved with technical support and potentially discussing issues with customers.

Electronics Process Engineer

Position Purpose:
To ensure products are manufactured to specification. Procedures are in place for all products that we manufacture. Our products are manufactured efficiently, ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SMT Quality – working with SMT staff to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) is in place, training of SMT staff regarding machine placement and ensuring procedures are followed at every stage of the process – target is to ensure we achieve the highest Parts Per Million (PPM) possible
  • General Process control – procedures and controls are implemented including jigs for all DC product assembly
  • Work closely with Research and Development ensuring product meets DFM guidelines – build work instructions and training of staff as we take new products through there stage gates and into production
  • Defining assembly processes and procedures to ensure repeatable high-quality production is maintained.
  • To keep abreast with technology trends and technical issues relating to Manufacturing within our industry
  • Display Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards on each of our assembly stages & ensure staff are working to these standards – where required training is carried out to ensure we have our staff trained to the highest standard
  • Responsible for maintaining the value stream map process once handed over from engineering and overseeing/implementing any changes in production
  • Set takt times for all stages, balance assembly lines. Lean out processes and identify and bottlenecks
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering ensuring test gear is in place as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) process
  • Report all yields for your area and ensure as part of the fail modes that training is carried out where required to eliminate mistakes
  • Travel to China to work with our Contract Manufacturer – transfer technology as required
  • Create Product Build Packages for transfer to China – Including BOMs, specs, drawings, training information – carry out training

Requirements for Position:

  • A minimum of 5yrs process engineering electronics experience in a similar role
  • Electronics background – must be highly skilled in electronics manufacturing
  • Process engineering certification and proof of certification
  • Must understand SMT process and be able to train in all aspects of SMT
  • Competent to work with engineering regarding New Product Introduction and all that is involved with this process
  • Have proven skills in lean processes e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, other
  • Able to present to a large team of people – confident to present product processes – can use PowerPoint effectively
  • Able to train teams of staff confidently
  • Confident and hard working in all aspects of process engineering

Senior Production Technician

Primary Responsibilities:
Assembly and test on DC Systems.
Fault diagnosis on all production faults.
Fault diagnosis and repair RMA units.
Testing and Repairing of manufacturing products.
Submit BOM updates to engineering and follow through.
Respond to production problems.
Report FPY to engineer and TL.
Assist with production approval process.
Build new product prototype according to build sheet.
Quality checking and inspecting.Technical:
Knowledge on electrical and hybrid preferred.
Identification of fault trends and reporting changes to management.
Evaluate facts and make decisions.
Good communication skills.

Other:
General production duties when existing responsibilities are complete or when a production overload situation exists and temporary production manpower is required.

The staff we are looking for will ideally have previous electronics factory experience.

We run a lean factory environment with a high product output and low running costs meaning the staff we are looking for will need to be hard working and flexible in a fast paced factory environment.

Enatel’s hybrid systems are multiple energy input DC power systems for telecommunications designed to reduce the operating costs of Diesel gensets and maximise the harvest from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind.

Position purpose:

Key responsibilities:

  • The failure analysis and service of power conversion products returned from the field
  • The upgrade of product for service to current version status
  • Provide service reports to Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales
  • Administration tasks related to servicing
  • Meeting service turnaround times

Other duties:

  • Supporting manufacturing technicians by training new technicians and (as time permits) helping clear product failed in production
  • The Quality Manager may at times require other tasks to be carried out in addition to servicing duties

Required skills:

  • Ability to desolder & solder through hole and SMT components
  • Read and understand schematic diagrams and overlays
  • Sound knowledge of electrical theory and anti-static precautions
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Positive attitude

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics or similar field, or partial qualification in Electrical Engineering

The Sales Engineer will provide technical and sales support to Enatel Motive Power customers. This is an exciting position for the right candidate, within a fast paced, innovative business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responding to sales and technical enquiries
  • Understanding technical and commercial requirements of customers
  • Specifying and configuring solutions based around EMP and or approved third party products
  • Costing and quoting solutions to customers
  • Follow through order entry process and after sales support to customers
  • Answer customers technical queries
  • Respond to enquiries regarding product features and performance.
  • Providing detailed analysis of market requirements and identifying opportunities for new product development
  • Providing installation and commissioning support to customers as necessary
  • Provision of detailed technical training on EMP products

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance as and when necessary to EMP engineering group
