Product Manager

Position Purpose:

The Product Manager is a key member of the Enatel Motive Power (EMP) team within the Enatel group of companies.

The purpose of this role is to understand customer, and market requirements, specify and manage new and existing motive power products through their life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand market trends, customer requirements
  • Understanding technical and commercial requirements of customers
  • Providing detailed analysis of market requirements and identifying opportunities for new product development
  • Definition of product strategy and roadmap
  • Identification of product costs and expected sales volumes.
  • Produce comprehensive design specification documents to define new products
  • Provide necessary discovery and other supporting documentation to initiate development projects
  • Work closely with Engineering Project managers to track progress
  • Work with sales team and customers to beta trial products before market release
  • Co-ordinate development of product marketing collateral with marketing team

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in business/sales management and/or relevant technical qualification (NZCE / BE).

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Must be able to self-manage and effectively prioritise tasks.
  • Clean passport/ no convictions (able to travel freely).
  • Good sales and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of material handling industry would be a beneficial.
  • Good Technical/Electronics knowledge.

Finance Accountant

Scope of Role: Responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with preparation of financial information to meet Group and Statutory reporting and other deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities: The role will work with the Finance Manager to complete the following:

  • Production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts for multiple entities
  • Production of Monthly and Quarterly Group reporting requirements
  • Production and review of annual strategic plan and budgeting
  • Production of the Quarterly 12 month rolling forecast
  • Production of divisional Profit and Loss statements, including maintaining the allocation methodology
  • Completing the annual Group and Statutory audit process
  • Investigation of variances from budget and working with managers to provide explanations
  • Monitoring and managing compliance with FX policy and reporting
  • Credit limit management and compliance with policy
  • Review transactions and correct where necessary
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Evaluation of financial and other performance data to enable effective business decisions
  • Assist managers to provide financial justification around the delegated levels of authority, in particular where Group approval is required
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Calculation, filing and payment of GST and other statutory returns
  • Back-up support for Accounts receivable / accounts payable processing and other bookkeeping tasks
  • Continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Developing strong relationships with the organisations key internal and external stakeholders nationally
  • Providing support to the Finance Manager as directed

About Us:

This position is the primary technical resource for the sales team. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively supporting customers, and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. You work in conjunction with the sales team as a key technical advisor and product expert/advocate. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

You will have a knowledge of power electronics, and this experience will be complemented by experience with customer enquiries and problem-resolution.
You will work closely with the Senior Sales Engineer to develop your skills and knowledge across key aspects of the technology and business.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responding to sales enquiries as required or directed.
• Understand the technical and commercial requirements of customers.
• Specify and configure solutions based on Enatel products and/or approved 3rd party products.
• Dimensioning, costing and quoting solutions to customers.
• Be engaged in after sales support to customers.
• Provide installation services, detailed technical training, documentation and commissioning support to customers as required (this may involve occasional overseas travel).
• Execute the build of low volume customised power solutions, samples and/or co-ordinate any systems-related activities to ensure customer satisfaction of deliverables
• Coordinate and/or collaborate with those necessary resources needed to support any sales engagement.

Qualifications:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in electronics engineering or appropriate technical knowledge would be well-regarded.
