Production Planner

Scope of Role:

Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products. Planning and prioritizing manufacturing to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Planning resource, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily planning of Enatel sales orders
  • Planning product works orders and resources in our ERP system
  • Working closely with procurement to ensure materials are ordered as per demand
  • Working closely with production leaders ensuring jobs are complete and daily run rates are achieved
  • Hold Sales & Operations planning meetings monthly with sales teams to ensure forecasted demand is planned correctly
  • Review open works orders daily, so jobs are closed as scheduled through factory
  • Manage product planning delays, find product that is faulty and ensure completed and jobs closed – DIFOT of 98%
  • Manage all production work in progress (WIP) ensuring this is as planned and closed as planned
  • Recommended solutions to remove waste and increase efficiency
  • Compile planning production status reports and issue to team leaders and managers for review
  • Promptly change production planning schedules with production as required

Skills and Attributes:

  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Displays a positive attitude and a team focus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems
  • A minimum of 3yrs in a production planning role
  • APICS Degree or completing related modules (desirable)
  • Production Planner in an electronics manufacturing company (desirable)

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3yrs in a production planning function
  • Worked within an ERP/MRP system for a minimum of 3yrs
  • Has a strong understanding of all required planning techniques, forecast, lead time, material & resource planning
  • Has worked with Bills of materials in a production industry with many line items
  • Proficient in all computer ERP/MRP/Word/Excel applications

You will have a background in Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering, preferably with an interest in both, and you will need to enjoy working within a team of smart, motivated people.

The Product Application Team (PAT) plays an important role at Enatel, providing technical resource to the sales team, designing, and managing the build of new systems prototypes and complex Configure to Order (CTO) solutions. The team supports operations by creating and managing BOM’s, work instructions and test procedures, and overseeing the process for Engineering to Order (ETO) and CTO within the business.

Key Deliverables of the Systems Engineering Team:

  • Ensuring the gateway and processes in the PAT align with key objectives of the business.
  • Ensuring the ETO process is managed carefully with consideration for cost, future opportunities, and alternative CTO offerings.
  • Building the CTO capability to reduce cost, increase efficiency and in turn consolidate and grow the Energy business.
  • Work with the Operations team and other functions (such as finance) to measure cost, improvement, and success of PAT initiatives.
  • Look for opportunities to create efficiency through process, prioritisation, and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer:

New Product Development:

This involves complete development cycle from Research, Design Concepts, Prototyping, Development, QA & Testing, Deployment, Support & Maintenance and Performance Tuning.

  • Design and build prototype systems
  • Sourcing of systems components locally and overseas
  • Make Bill of materials using CSI
  • Collaborate with the Systems Process engineer to develop work & assembly instructions
  • Construction of test methods/procedures
  • Perform/co-ordinate systems testing – from complete system testing to specific monitor software functionality testing
  • Assist Writing System or sub assembly manuals

Provide technical responses to tenders & quotations worldwide:

  • Writing up clause-by-clause responses to tenders
  • Take customer requirements and turn them into technical proposals consisting of Layout and Schematic Diagrams
  • Creating 2D and 3D drawings using Microsoft Visio and CAD software
  • Provide costing and cost difference analysis as per required Bill of materials

Production Support:

  • Assist Writing technical bulletins for product or test routine enhancements
  • Product Maintenance – to modify, enhance and maintain existing Enatel product designs as required
  • Execute VA/VE on existing product lines.

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and project driven. You must have the right attitude and team player
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Visio, Excel etc

Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronics
  • Preference will be given to Engineers with 2-4 years previous experience in DC Power Engineering however we are also interested in enthusiastic recent graduates with the ability and willingness to learn fast from our experienced team

Scope of Role:

To design and develop new products and support existing products. To plan, develop and test the products to verify they conform to specification.

  • Develop software utilising internal tools and methodologies

  • Continually improve and review quality control processes, including coding standards, peer review process, unit testing and continuous integration processes and platforms
  • Product Maintenance – to modify, enhance and maintain existing Enatel product designs as required
  • Write clean and well documented code for a range of projects
  • Escalate issues and risks in a timely manner
  • Work to plan and commit to schedule
  • The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is a member of the Research and Development Team. As a member of this team, you are expected to take an interest and give significant input and advice into projects being worked on by other members of the team.

    • Proficient understanding of source control software (eg Git, feature branching and rebasing) and Jira
    • Familiarity with any Agile development methods
    • Familiarity with build tools and DevOps best practices
    • Familiarity with testing automation tools.
    • Ability to design and apply the continuous integration capability in a complex enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles and working in a team environment on new product development projects.

Scope of Role:
To diagnose and repair Enatel products.

• Assembly and test on all Electronic Products
• Fault diagnosis on all production faults
• Testing and Repairing of manufacturing products
• Submit Bill of Materials (BOM) updates to engineering and follow through
• Respond to production problems
• Build new product prototype according to build sheet

Technical:
• Identification of fault trends and reporting changes to management
• Evaluate facts and make decisions

• Read and understand schematic diagrams and overlays
• Sound knowledge of electrical theory and anti-static precautions
