This is an exciting role for an experienced Web Developer to join our growing software team. You’ll need a strong background in building web/browser-based applications and enjoy working within a team of smart, motivated people.

We’re developing our next generation of embedded products and need someone who can help us take our UI/UX to the next level. You will be working primarily in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript using the Angular (2+), so experience with Angular or similar modern MVC/MVVM frameworks is required.

Advantageous: understanding software engineering patterns, designs, best practices, understanding testing methodologies and taking a modular development approach in your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver software products on time (meet deadlines)
  • Engage in technical/architectural discussions and decision making with the rest of the team
  • Assist contractors with integration of their work into our products
  • Discuss new requirements with product managers and other product stakeholders
  • Carry out proper testing of your work, and assist with testing, and liaise with the test team
  • Author unit tests for your code
  • Produce code of a high standard, and employ modern software development techniques
  • Attend and contribute in product development meetings
  • Ensure you are up to date with latest relevant tools\technologies
  • Assist in continuous improvement of software development process and tooling
  • Any other responsibilities as requested from your manager

Skills required:

  • 3-4 Years’ experience in building web/browser-based applications
  • Strong experience in HTML5, CSS/LESS/SASS, and JavaScript.
  • Should have a strong and practical in-depth knowledge of Angular (preferably) or with a similar modern JavaScript framework/libraries such as ReactJS or VueJS etc.
  • Experience with responsive design.
  • Application of OO concepts, and proven OO development used in conjunction with MVC/MVVM frameworks.
  • Good familiarity of code version control tools such as GIT (preferably).
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command line and shell scripting
  • A good and well-practiced UX/Usability design approach including creating mock-ups and concepts etc.
  • Experience with graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas and data visualisation (ideally D3.js)

Not necessary but advantageous:

  • Knowledge of an experience with JavaScript test frameworks like Karma, Protractor etc.
  • Interest in keeping up to date with new and developing technologies for web development.
  • Experience with JavaScript build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, Bower or Webpack
  • Experience authenticating with 3rd party services using protocols (OAuth)

Scope of Role:

Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products. Planning and prioritizing manufacturing to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Planning resource, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily planning of Enatel sales orders
  • Planning product works orders and resources in our ERP system
  • Working closely with procurement to ensure materials are ordered as per demand
  • Working closely with production leaders ensuring jobs are complete and daily run rates are achieved
  • Hold Sales & Operations planning meetings monthly with sales teams to ensure forecasted demand is planned correctly
  • Review open works orders daily, so jobs are closed as scheduled through factory
  • Manage product planning delays, find product that is faulty and ensure completed and jobs closed – DIFOT of 98%
  • Manage all production work in progress (WIP) ensuring this is as planned and closed as planned
  • Recommended solutions to remove waste and increase efficiency
  • Compile planning production status reports and issue to team leaders and managers for review
  • Promptly change production planning schedules with production as required

Skills and Attributes:

  • Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems
  • A minimum of 3yrs in a production planning role
  • APICS Degree or completing related modules (desirable)

  • Worked within an ERP/MRP system for a minimum of 3yrs
  • Has a strong understanding of all required planning techniques, forecast, lead time, material & resource planning
  • Has worked with Bills of materials in a production industry with many line items
  • Proficient in all computer ERP/MRP/Word/Excel applications

In this Senior HR role, you will apply your experience and HR professional skillset to provide an excellent HR service to the business in order to effectively manage risk and enhance the people plan. You’ll provide comprehensive guidance to managers with all HR related matters and be capable of managing employment relations, ensuring compliance to procedures and employment law. Your duties will include reviewing and drafting employment clauses and policies, HR data analytics and reporting, recruitment, and learning and development support.

The HR team also comprises a Senior HR Coordinator and H&S/HR administrator, of which you will work closely.

Experience with training and facilitating development sessions will be an advantage.

This role will be suited to an individual with 7+ years in the HR field, with at least 2 years in a Senior HR role.

Key tasks may include, but not limited to:
• General HR Advice and support. A knowledge of HR legislation such as the ERA, HSAW, Holidays Act and related legislation is required.
• Review and draft policy documents, employment agreements, ensuring they are accurate and produced within agreed timeframes.
• Assist with the Enatel recruitment program as required, primarily focused on organisational capability and senior recruitment.
• Overseeing the performance mgmt. programme, including SMART goals, competencies, professional Development Planning and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Prepare HR reports and provide analysis of HR trends/information and their organisational implications. Provide reports to senior leadership team and IDEAL Industries (Parent Company) accordingly.
• Support managers in developing learning and capability in staff management through in-house Enatalent training, external training and customised Professional Development Plans (PDPs).
• Help the HR Team deliver staff training seminars and workshops.
• Prepare and analyse surveys – such as employee engagement.

Enatel is a fast growing Christchurch based electronics manufacturer that develops, manufactures and markets a range of power systems and components used in Telecom, IT and industrial applications worldwide.

Due to continued growth and some new IT projects, we’re looking for an IT support technician to join our IT department. This is our internal helpdesk role but has the opportunity to step up and assist on project work and deployments. This is a hands on role rather than just email / phone support. A minimum of 1 years’ experience is required in a similar role.

All members of the IT department are required to support the devices and users within the environment so you must have good communication skills and the ability to think on your feet. You must be able to train and convey technical information to non-technical staff members. You will need to be able to come up with solutions to problems and present them to the department or to other staff within the business.

The ideal candidate will be at the beginning of their career in IT but with a desire to learn about and assist with IT projects, systems administration, networking, software development / scripting and ERP systems.

The IT support technician will be required to support, assist, train, maintain, upgrade, configure and deploy end-user systems for our internal IT environment as required by the IT manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with day to day questions or issues raised by staff or identified by IT in a timely manner.
  • Building, deploying, configuring, training and support for desktops, laptops, portable devices and the applications on each.
  • Running cables, configuring networks, resolving printing issues and other such IT service tasks.
  • Root cause analysis of issues and to diagnose and repair them in a timely manner.
  • Self-management of time and priorities.
  • Researching, testing, configuring and deploying new solutions to improve the IT environment or assist with issues / annoyances staff have, and if appropriate, presenting to the IT team.
  • Other internal IT tasks and projects as required.

Required skills:

  • IT troubleshooting and helpdesk experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Good general understanding of common desktop applications and licensing.
  • Analytical and root cause analysis including the ability to understand solutions found online and apply them to the situation at hand.
  • Basic physical skills such as using tools, running cables, setting up workstations and mounting devices. Not afraid to work at height.
  • Ability to manage your own time and work on your own when required.

Nice to have skills:

  • Office 365 and ERP experience.
  • Understanding of Visual Studio, C#, .Net, MySQL and MSSQL and any associated applications from both a developer and administration point of view.

 

Enatel operates a Monday to Friday business with hours of operation supported on site by IT between 8AM and 5PM. There is no on call or overtime requirement for this role, however, some flexibility around hours when very occasional after hours work is required would be desirable.
