Purpose of the Role

The primary focus of the Business Systems Specialist is to facilitate successful business change initiatives, specifically transformation projects for IT business systems including Enatel’s ERP system, BI, CRM and other systems implemented from time to time by the business.

Acting as a trusted advisor spanning across business and technology, this role holds overall accountability for the functional enhancements and ongoing health of the business systems and associated data; in doing so enabling the organisation to realise the long-term strategic goals whilst optimising operations.

What you will be Doing

  • Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on how technology supports Enatel operations including manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Gaining and keeping your knowledge up to date on ERP (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) and other key software applications to understand the capability and inherent limitations/constraints of each.
  • Seeking out, triaging and analysing areas of business optimisation.
  • Working with Senior Leaders and other Super/Power Users on potential business optimisation projects.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Gathering, validating and documenting business scope requirements​.
  • Creating functional specifications for solutions​.
  • Championing Enatel’s Super/Power users and ensuring alignment (priority/resourcing) of all business systems projects & activities.
  • Participating and driving procurement and contract management processes
  • Collaborating with relevant vendors and operational teams to construct testing and implementation strategies.
  • Producing key documentation including: End User Documentation, Project/Progress Reports, Functional & Technical specifications, business cases and business process mapping.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood and communicated to members of the Senior Leadership Team and other managers as appropriate.
  • Enabling awareness of evolving technical and business capabilities.
  • Establishing and Chairing the Data Governance Committee, to ensure data quality remains at the forefront of Enatel decision making.

What you will need to be Successful

  • Tier 1 or 2 ERP experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven skills and experience in analysis and understanding of new processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, specifically as related to communication with project stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience in consolidating requirements and prioritising the same in line with the strategic and operational requirements of the business.
  • Confidence and ability to make independent recommendations or decisions to resolve issues.
  • Proven skills and experience in problem solving.
  • Highly skilled and experienced in producing quality, user-friendly documentation.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Business Systems Specialist role or similar, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.

Scope

The role

Within this environment the Engineering Manager will review and deploy best practices to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the function and ensure the retention and attraction of talented engineers and support personal.

Key Responsibilities

Research

  • Establish and environment of enquiry, innovation and continuous development
  • Ensure that, and in conjunction with product management, Enatel benchmarks its technologies against leading competitors and related applications of power electronics, energy management and energy storage.
  • Set the direction and scope of enquiry and discovery in order to tether it to Enatel’s strategy and to maximise the return on investment

New Product Development

  • Review and optimise Enatel’s stage gated new product development process.
  • Ensure that Engineering is a prime participant in the specifying, scoping and final acceptance of new product development projects.
  • Oversee project management for NPD to ensure that projects remain on scope schedule and budget.
  • Preparing resource plans and project schedules for the development of new product lines and maintains system of budget and schedule control.
  • Preparing all R&D and Engineering related CAPEX requests.

Product Lifecycle Support

  • Working closely with Production to ensure “design for manufacturing” guidelines are met, and products are able to be efficiently, and reliably produced
  • Through close collaboration with product management, procurement and vendors ensure that components and materials are lifecycle monitored and Enatel is protected against unexpected phase outs.
  • Install and manage VA/VE quality improvement and cost out strategies for products over their lifecycle
  • In close collaboration with sales operations, product management, and manufacturing provide tier 3 technical product support

Engineering Resource Management

  • Optimise the cost, capability and quantity of  “in house”, contract, and outsourced engineering resource for all engineering sub disciplines (software, hardware, mechanical, project management and engineering support).
  • Maintain time capture and reporting tools to measure performance against target for the application of engineering hours to projects, jobs, and research
  • Align engineering resource requirement with the company strategic and annual plans and prepare Engineering plans as significant inputs to these.
  • Recommending and implementing new policies, processes and procedures to enhance and advance the performance of the Engineering Department to maximize return on resources employed.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, global design and engineering standards, processes, vision and values.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification.

Working Hours

Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday 12:00pm – 8:30pm

Purpose of the Role

The primary focus of the Warehouse Assistant is to assist in the general Stores operations and to provide support to the afternoon production shift. This includes maintaining an uninterrupted flow of materials to production, kitting parts for work orders, cycle counting and putting away/locating stock. You will also ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and organised at all times.

What you will be Doing

  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting in Inventory control
  • Production Kanban replenishment
  • Kitting to work orders
  • Cycle Counting and stock checks
  • Forklift duties
  • Putting away/Locating stock
  • Keeping the Warehouse stock/store accurate and tidy

 

What you will need to be Successful

  • Previous store experience
  • Previous inwards goods experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player that actively contributes to the company’s success
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of personnel at all organisational levels
  • Excellent self-organisation skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised

 

Advantageous

  • Reach Truck experience
  • An OSH and F endorsed forklift license
  • ERP experience
