Purpose of the Role

The primary focus of the Business Systems Specialist is to facilitate successful business change initiatives, specifically transformation projects for IT business systems including Enatel’s ERP system, BI, CRM and other systems implemented from time to time by the business.

Acting as a trusted advisor spanning across business and technology, this role holds overall accountability for the functional enhancements and ongoing health of the business systems and associated data; in doing so enabling the organisation to realise the long-term strategic goals whilst optimising operations.

What you will be Doing

  • Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on how technology supports Enatel operations including manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Gaining and keeping your knowledge up to date on ERP (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) and other key software applications to understand the capability and inherent limitations/constraints of each.
  • Seeking out, triaging and analysing areas of business optimisation.
  • Working with Senior Leaders and other Super/Power Users on potential business optimisation projects.
  • Identifying issues, risks and benefits of proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  • Gathering, validating and documenting business scope requirements​.
  • Creating functional specifications for solutions​.
  • Championing Enatel’s Super/Power users and ensuring alignment (priority/resourcing) of all business systems projects & activities.
  • Participating and driving procurement and contract management processes
  • Collaborating with relevant vendors and operational teams to construct testing and implementation strategies.
  • Producing key documentation including: End User Documentation, Project/Progress Reports, Functional & Technical specifications, business cases and business process mapping.
  • Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood and communicated to members of the Senior Leadership Team and other managers as appropriate.
  • Enabling awareness of evolving technical and business capabilities.
  • Establishing and Chairing the Data Governance Committee, to ensure data quality remains at the forefront of Enatel decision making.

What you will need to be Successful

  • Tier 1 or 2 ERP experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven skills and experience in analysis and understanding of new processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, specifically as related to communication with project stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Proven experience in consolidating requirements and prioritising the same in line with the strategic and operational requirements of the business.
  • Confidence and ability to make independent recommendations or decisions to resolve issues.
  • Proven skills and experience in problem solving.
  • Highly skilled and experienced in producing quality, user-friendly documentation.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Business Systems Specialist role or similar, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.

Scope of the Role

To ensure products are manufactured to specification. Procedures are in place for all products that we manufacture. Our products are manufactured efficiently, ensuring the highest quality standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• SMT Quality – working with SMT staff to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) is in place, training of SMT staff regarding machine placement and ensuring procedures are followed at every stage of the process – target is to ensure we achieve the highest Parts Per Million (PPM) possible
• General Process control – procedures and controls are implemented including jigs for all DC product assembly
• Work closely with Research and Development ensuring product meets DFM guidelines– build work instructions and training of staff as we take new products through there stage gates and into production
• Defining assembly processes and procedures to ensure repeatable high-quality production is maintained.
• To keep abreast with technology trends and technical issues relating to Manufacturing within our industry
• Display Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards on each of our assembly stages & ensure staff are working to these standards – where required training is carried out to ensure we have our staff trained to the highest standard
• Responsible for maintaining the value stream map process once handed over from engineering and overseeing/implementing any changes in production
• Set takt (product assembly) times for all stages, balance assembly lines. Lean out processes and identify and bottlenecks
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering ensuring test gear is in place as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) process
• Report all yields for your area and ensure as part of the fail modes that training is carried out where required to eliminate mistakes
• Travel to China to work with our Contract Manufacturer – transfer technology as required
• Create Product Build Packages for transfer to China – Including BOMs, specs, drawings, training information – carry out training

 

What you will need to be Successful

• A minimum of 5yrs process engineering electronics experience in a similar role
• Electronics background – must be highly skilled in electronics manufacturing
• Process engineering certification and proof of certification
• Must understand SMT process and be able to train in all aspects of SMT
• Competent to work with engineering regarding New Product Introduction and all that is involved with this process
• Have proven skills in lean processes e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, other
• Able to present to a large team of people – confident to present product processes – can use PowerPoint effectively

The role itself:

This position is the primary technical sales resource for the Power Applications team. Systems Sales Engineers are responsible for actively supporting customers and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. You work in conjunction with both the Systems and Sales team as a key advisor and product expert/advocate. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

You will have a knowledge of power electronics or power systems, and this experience will be complemented by experience with customer enquiries and problem-resolution.

You will work closely with the Systems Engineering Team Leader to develop your skills and knowledge across key aspects of the technology and business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responding to sales enquiries as required or directed.
  • Understand the technical and commercial requirements of customers.
  • Specify and configure solutions based on Enatel products and/or approved 3rd party products.
  • Dimensioning, costing, and pricing customer solutions, ensuring the correct systems and processes are being followed.
  • Co-ordinate the pre-order and ordering process.
  • Engaging in after sales support to customers.
  • Providing installation services, detailed technical training, documentation and commissioning support to customers as required (this may involve occasional overseas travel).
  • Overseeing the build of low volume customised power solutions, samples and/or co-ordinate any systems-related activities to ensure customer satisfaction of deliverables.

The role itself

The Senior Firmware Engineer is a member of the Research and Development Team. As a member of this team, you are expected to take an interest and give significant input and advice into projects being worked on by other members of the team. To modify, enhance and maintain existing Enatel product.

What you will need to be Successful:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a firmware/embedded software role.
  • Solid knowledge of power electronics, power magnetics
  • Solid knowledge of digital/embedded control systems
  • Ability to effectively use software tools. SPICE, PCB CAD, FEA, MatLab etc
  • A core base of technical skills including a combination of:
  • Development using C/Assembly coding languages & ability to write modular reusable code
  • Real time OS
  • A passion for producing stable, clean, maintainable code
  • Proficient understanding of source control software (e.g. Git, feature branching and rebasing) and Jira
  • Familiarity with any Agile development methods

Scope of the Role:

The primary focus of the Senior Project Manager is to plan, oversee and lead projects from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required specifications.  To be active in driving results and finding ways to recover lost time or other challenges.

The Senior Project Manager will also participate in the governance structure and support the Portfolio Delivery Manager in ensuring projects are executed the right way, there is an appropriate focus on risk, initiatives are correctly prioritised, and that projects realise the intended benefit. This includes planning and managing the impact across a range of Enatel projects necessary for delivery of the strategy. To support other Project Managers within the PMO to deliver their assigned projects and improve their own capability.

Project Leadership

  • Work closely with senior leadership (SLT) to deliver the strategic vision through a range of continually prioritised projects.
  • Ensure projects (core, adjacent and transformational) have a clear vision, purpose, and execution strategy.
  • Ensure stakeholders, project team members and other affected parties are aligned to the vision, purpose, and execution strategy of projects. Build teams and coalitions that are empowered to deliver on the agree scope through strong influencing.
  • Motivate and inspire project teams and stakeholders. Overcome political and bureaucratic barriers to change and ensure a focus on people as well as outcomes. Support the Portfolio Delivery Manager in the motivation and ongoing development of other Project Managers.
  • Foster an innovative, open, and positive culture where team member input is encouraged, and differences are resolved constructively.
  • Drive and support organisational change in line with business strategy. Ensure that projects that deliver change (sometimes dramatic) are sustainable, include a focus on process and behaviours as well as supporting affected people through that change.
  • Support the development and maintenance of relevant project management structures, policies, procedures, and systems (MS Project, Sharepoint, Jira etc) that enhance effective execution of business strategy.

Project Management

  • Ensure internal and external customer requirements & deliverables are identified, understood, and all required documentation is delivered complete.
  • Control scope, negotiate, oversee, and manage all Project Change Requests with stakeholders as required.
  • Oversee the identification, planning and budgeting of project management tasks including robust, credible project schedules. Inputs should be taken from relevant stakeholders across the business and where appropriate from customers and supply chain partners.
  • Approve project spend (Opex and Capex) in line with agreed business limits and delegated authority levels.
  • Ensure internal and external suppliers have all required documentation (BOM,
  • specifications, work instructions etc.) to achieve required quality standards and
  • delivery times of product in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor performance of Enatel projects. Anticipate, identify & investigate deviations, organise solutions and maintain a focus on task by working effectively with Product Managers, R&D Engineers, SLT members, and other key stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure risks & issues are identified, managed, and addressed and all relevant parties kept informed – following up, pushing for results, and/or challenging parties to think of the end result deliverable as required.
  • Ensure predictability and order in the execution of projects. Facilitate open communications across projects to ensure high satisfaction from stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute Project Status Reports and Estimates to key stakeholders on a monthly basis, as well as any other analysis or report required (e.g., lessons learnt, monthly reporting to SLT).
  • Be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert on all things Project Management. Maintain an excellent knowledge of Project Management techniques and processes and an awareness of current best practices.

Resource Management

  • Ensure a resource capacity plan is established and maintained for each project that reflects the internal and external resource assignments and gaps.
  • Ensure a weekly update of overall resource plan for projects with escalation of issues to the Portfolio Delivery Manager or relevant SLT stakeholders.
  • Ensure a financial plan is established and maintained for each project to provide input into the business planning process.
  • Provide day to day coordination of task assignment on assigned projects.
  • Communication of work plan and expectations to staff on assigned projects.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Engineering degree.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment. General familiarity with software and hardware engineering development processes.
  • Six (6) years of project management experience, preferably in an engineering environment, with project lifecycle and a background in enterprise level project management.
  • Solid knowledge of processes involved in development of new products & projects including both waterfall and Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Strong commercial and business acumen. Exceptional financial, reporting, and quantitative skills.
  • Experience in scheduling staff across multiple projects, managing schedules and budgets.
  • PMI / PMP, PRINCE2 or similar.
