What do we do?

Motive Power Chargers and Monitoring:

We are a global leader in the design and manufacture of high frequency, modular battery chargers for material handling equipment, ground support equipment, automated guided vehicles, and other off-highway vehicles.

Our chargers have been designed especially for charging large lead acid and lithium-ion batteries. Our products are engineered and produced locally, with distribution hubs in the United States and the United Kingdom.

About the opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate Data Scientist to shape the future of our IoT analytics platform! In this role, you’ll work on transforming raw data from IoT devices—like chargers and batteries—into actionable insights through advanced analytics and machine learning. You’ll design data pipelines, identify key metrics, and create intuitive dashboards that empower our customers to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

About you

We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Data Scientist with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning to develop data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, innovation and problem-solving, ready to transform complex datasets into actionable strategies. We are also looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related areas are a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred), R, or Julia, with a strong understanding of their applications in data analysis and machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation tools like Pandas, NumPy, and data visualization libraries including Matplotlib or Plotly. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud platforms like Azure (preferred) or AWS. Experience with IoT data or creating interactive dashboards using Power BI or Tableau is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in team environments.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll be responsible for ordering materials based on demand from our ERP system, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.

This role is perfect for someone early in their supply chain or procurement career, who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About you:

You are detail-oriented, practical, and ready to kick-start your career in procurement and supply chain. You enjoy working with data, solving problems, and getting things done efficiently. You’re a clear communicator who works well with others, and you take pride in staying organised and on top of the details. You’re curious, keen to learn, and excited about being part of a team that helps keep things moving in a busy manufacturing environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a safety-first mindset
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and has some knowledge of ERP or inventory systems
  • A strong communicator with good time management skills
  • Confident in working with data to support purchasing decisions
  • Interested in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing environments

  • Experience in electronics or manufacturing

About the opportunity

We’re looking for a detail orientated financial accountant to join our finance team. This is a fixed term maternity cover position. In this role you’ll support core accounting functions including month end reporting, reconciliation and budgeting. You’ll play a key part in delivering accurate financial insights to support decision making across the business.

About you

If you are passionate about finance and reporting, enjoy working in a cross functional team and are action driven, we want to hear from you! You’ll also bring:

  • Holds tertiary qualifications in accounting and is a Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand, or equivalent.
  • Ideally to have 3 – 5 years’ experience in a finance role in a chartered accountancy practice.
  • Experience analysing information and developing problem solving initiatives.
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Understanding of NZ tax legislation and IRD requirements.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems or specifically CSI would be advantageous.
