Meet our new Global CEO Chris Baldwin

Introducing Chris Baldwin as the new Chief Executive Officer of IDEAL Industries, Inc. A longtime member of the IDEAL Industries Board of Directors, Chris stepped into the role in October 2025 and will oversee Enatel alongside the wider family of IDEAL brands. 

Introducing New CEO Chris Baldwin 

Chris is a seasoned senior executive with a strong record of driving international growth and building high-performing teams. Before joining IDEAL Industries as CEO, he served as the Group President of MillerKnoll, one of the world’s largest and most influential furniture design companies. His career also includes senior leadership roles at Kitchen & Bath Americas and the Kohler Company, as well as leadership experience at Siemens, Eaton and other global manufacturers. 

Chris has also served on the IDEAL Industries Board of Directors since 2016, gaining a deep understanding of the Enatel business, its customers and long-term goals. 

Recognising Outgoing CEO Steve Henn 

Chris succeeds Steve Henn, who is retiring after six years as CEO. With record-breaking operational years since 2022, Steve’s leadership guided IDEAL Industries toward success and renewed its focus on product innovation. 

Chris reflected on Steve’s legacy and the plans for the company moving forward. 

“It’s an honour to accept the baton from Steve and lead IDEAL Industries into the future,” said Baldwin. “My goal is to build on Steve’s strategy to strengthen our global presence, while continuing to promote and cherish the values and culture that make us truly exceptional.”

Under Chris’ direction and vision, we are poised to accelerate our world-class battery charging technology globally across the material handling and ground support equipment markets. Our efficient and market-leading solutions will play a critical role in the increasing electrification of off-highway vehicles. 

Chris sees enormous opportunity ahead in Enatel’s markets.  

“When you think about electrification around the world, we’re in the right industry for growth,” said Baldwin. “I’m coming in believing in the team, believing in the current strategy, believing in our current objectives, and knowing that we have the opportunity in front of us to achieve them.” 

Chris supports continued innovation as the key to our company’s success. His leadership will position Enatel to power the next phase of global industrial fleet electrification in 2026 and beyond.
